Yearly, CHEACC sponsors a Moving Up/Graduation Ceremony on the 3rd Monday of May. This is a very special annual CHEACC event. All students who participate are given recognition, but we celebrate our graduating seniors with the following:
- Class t-shirt with the CHEACC graduate names on the back
- A program that features a photo & bio of each graduate
- A slide show of the graduating class with 10-12 photos of each graduate
- Opportunity for each graduate to give a speech or share a talent
- Parental presentation of diploma & tassel turn to celebrate the accomplishment
- Reception decorated for the graduating class
There is a $50 non-refundable fee for each participating senior. Please note that CHEACC does NOT provide diplomas; refer to Florida State Law for guidance. Participation is limited to current CHEACC members.
This is a Christ-centered, family-honoring event. If you have a graduating senior who would like to participate in the Commencement Ceremony, please register by November 1. There are meetings and deadlines to prepare for the event. See the list below.

Nov 1 - Deadline to group order matte black graduation cap & gown

Mar 21 - Deadline to submit student bio for the program
Apr 1 - Pictures DUE for the program and Senior Slideshow
Apr 15 - Deadline to submit TALENT VIDEO (2-minute limit) if the student registered to do so
Apr 21 - Swag Bag Donations due (Can bring to CHEACC Project Fair)
May 19 - Arrive at 8:30 AM for Commencement rehearsal. At least one parent must accompany graduate. (Time may change)
May 19 - Arrive at 5:00 PM with cap/gown/tassel & diploma for parents/graduate photos (Time may change)
THESE DEADLINES ARE FIRM. PLEASE PUT THE DATES ON YOUR CALENDAR.
Parent volunteers are also essential to make this event successful.
Needed Volunteers:
- Cap & Gown Order Coordinator: The Grads4Good order will be shipped to you for you to disperse.
- Senior Slide Show Creator: Prepare a slide show with music using 10-12 photos parents submit.
- Grad Meet-up Volunteers: Plan & host an event for grads that will help think get to know each other.
- Decorating Committee: Plan & prepare the decor for the reception.
- Senior Swag Bags Committee: Collect donations and assemble goody bags for each graduate. (We have plastic bins that can be personalized with vinyl cutouts this year.)
- Senior Family Meal Coordinator: Graduation day is very busy with rehearsal in the morning and family photos in the afternoon. It’s really helpful to have meals for families to eat at the church. We can see interest and discuss options.
- Graduate Hospitality Committee: Collect and set-up snacks for senior graduates. The room can also be decorated if desired.
- Helping Hands: Everyone! Please be ready to help decorate the reception hall the day of graduations and help in any other way needed.
Needed Donations:
- Senior Swag Bag Donations: Donations for senior gift bags. You can buy, make, or collect donations from local businesses.
- Senior Snack Donations: Snacks for the students in between practice and the ceremony.
